You Capture- Reflections

Here is my daughter. I took this picture years ago, but felt like it was the perfect match for the theme this week at You Capture. Check out some of the other images.

I Heart Faces- Week 12 Pouting

This week's theme at I heart faces is Pouting. I've got several pictures of pouting little girls but I absolutey adore this one. I love how she looks in her uniform.

We Picture This...

we picture {this}

I guess I'm on a roll. Thought I'd enter another photography contest. This one's theme is "black and white"- so this picture of Jade is my choice. She cracks me up with her serious eyes and the touch of mystery with the fan.

I heart faces- week 11

I've never entered a photo contest, but I thought this sounded like fun. This week the theme is "no flash"- since that's almost always the way I shoot, I had fun picking out a couple of pictures. Thanks to Amy and Sharline for helping me pick which one to submit.
Adult Entry...

While taking pictures of my little sister and her little guy, I captured her smiling the "this is what we do" smile while Zach showed that he had had enough.

I prefer taking pictures with no flash, because the images seem more natural and I like the real shadows that you get. It helps me feel the picture more.

Child Entry
Every time Jade loses a tooth, she insists on a photo shoot. So, I have to come up with things to spice it up a bit. This one we did in the kitchen with natural light. Ever since we did this one, we always have to do a tooth in focus/face out of focus shot.

Messing around in Photoshop

Here is the Straight out of the camera shot.

Here is one with a couple of fun actions. I did the "lovely and ethereal" for PW Photography- (link on the side) and then I did the "Super Fun Happy" from TotallyRadActions (link also on the side).

Hottie doesn't love what the action does- how it makes the black on his sleeve fuzzy. I think it's kind of a fun effect.

Photoshop is so much fun

I took this picture of Hottie and loved it straight out of the camera.

But I have to say, I love this one more. On this one, I just messed around a little with the balances and contrasts- no fancy action for this one.

Now for my precious little girls. I think this is adorable. Dives is a little splotchy, but still darn cute.

I ran through the PW Photographer's "Vintage" action and loved it. I don't know when I'd ever print a picture like this, other than the one of Grandpa Wayne.

Fun stuff with my girls and photoshop...

Straight out of the camera- a little bland but cute.
I love this super lightened and a little more faded. She's such a little doll baby and I think it's fun how this one makes her look like a little porcelan doll.

Another S-O-O-C. Love this picture.

Love the punch to this picture a lot more. I love Bug on her tip toes.

Had enough yet?

Here are some more after edit shots. Sweet little angels :)
